I have always had an interest in graphic design and I am happy to be taken on as a trainee graphics designer. I enjoy the work I do because I have always had an artistic flair and hopefully as I progress I can use that to benefit The Last Hurdle and its clients. I am looking forward to showing people what I can achieve with my infographics and other design work.

Continuing to build and add to our team of highly professional and experienced business development specialists, The Last Hurdle are proud to introduce the latest edition our talent pool; PR Associate Kath Middleditch:
Kath Middleditch has over 12 years experience as a PR and Media Relations professional. She has worked in both private and public sectors and has taken on a big variety of tasks in her time – from hosting IT journalists at a conference in Barcelona (rather like herding cats!); to looking after snails who were to be the stars of a BBC Breakfast news item!
Kath has worked with journalists at many levels, from those working in regional publications right up to international TV broadcasters, and has a ‘nose for news’ and an instinct of what will work for both journalists and clients. Kath has dealt with many sensitive news stories in her time, from working with domestic violence victims to help raise awareness of support groups; to the careful management of financial news announcements. She has very strong writing skills and has had articles accepted by The Guardian as well as a number of trade publications. Kath has worked on both PR campaigns and breaking news stories and has a great track record in working under pressure and to deadline.
Kath lives in Northampton with her young family and is a very keen rugby fan having played the game herself for over a decade. These days she focuses on the more sedate hobbies of baking, gardening, piano playing and taking trips in her ancient camper van!

Sylvia Allen has experience in IT that spans over 20 years; from humble beginnings as a trainee programmer in Littlewoods Pools to Project Management at what is now Santander. Last year Sylvia started her own business, Make Admin Easy and is currently providing administrative and IT support to a number of small local businesses. She understands a lot of what is involved in running and developing your own company and how with the right support and advice that company can grow from strength to strength. As well as a wealth of technical experience, Sylvia also brings with her, experience of managing people, projects and resources, taking projects from conception to completion and developing and delivering training courses. She will over the coming year, be selecting her own portfolio of business development clients as well as writing bespoke WordPress courses helping small business owners to build, manage and maintain their own websites with the versatile WordPress templates.
Sylvia lives in Northampton where she home educates her two beautiful children. She enjoys walking with the one mad dog, running, cycling, reading, cooking and socialising.

Sarah Hodgkins is a well respected entrepreneur and business woman with a strong background in the service sector. For the last seven years, Sarah has run her own interior design and mural company Charlotte Designs and a successful franchise in the highly competitive field of business networking. She understands first hand, the pressures and pitfalls of running your own company and has helped many of her fellow networkers to grow and develop a diverse range of businesses. Previous to this, Sarah spent over 17 years in sales and marketing positions, both nationally and internationally for business to consumer and business to business organisations. Sarah not only brings a fanatical love of networking to The Last Hurdle, but also strong training and development skills. She will over the coming year develop and deliver a range of courses for SME’s covering a wide range of topics from sales for non-sales people, to writing an elevator pitch.
Sarah is married and lives in Northamptonshire with her husband, two mad children and two guinea pigs. She enjoys running, painting, art, crafts and socialising. She has a wide and interesting range of skills from ploughing (yes, really), piano and recorder playing to trampolining, but not at the same time.
‘I first met Sarah at a networking meeting, she was chairing the meeting, my first impressions were gosh this lady comes across extremely capable and confident, coupled with a bubbly personality that immediately puts people at their ease! Jules White has worked in sales & marketing for 
over 15 years, with extensive experience in media, recruitment & service based industries. Her aptitude for training became apparent when she was seconded to Mayfair to train a sales team for a well known life-style journalist’s new venture. She has since assisted close friends and associates to expand their comfort zones to gain extra leads, business or confidence. As further requests for help roll in, this has prompted to launch of The Last Hurdle.

Jules maintains that each Business Development plan she provides for her clients is as bespoke and unique as they are. Rather than trying to ram a square peg in a round hole, her consultation meetings are designed to get to the core of the business it’s services/products and the target markets. providing sometimes innovative routes to market, Jules has her eye on exploiting every opportunity in her clients favour.
Jules is a networking advocate, a huge social media fan and has a recently acquired passion for SEO and keyword researches. Utilising her core sales and marketing skills Jules has built a successful Business Development Business and moved into her Northampton office in November 2012.
