Identifying Your Target Market

Identifying Your Target Market

Whenever our paths cross you will hear me bleat on about identifying your target market.

Single out who would be a potential customer, once you have done this, it makes reaching them far easier!

OK, so let’s find out who your target market is. If you already have customers then this process is easy. Who is or has been your best customer? maybe they spend a lot of money with you, maybe they pay their bills on time, maybe they are easy to manage or maybe you really enjoy working with them… Whatever is important to you, this benchmark process will start to highlight to you what a good customer looks like. What’s their industry sector? Where are they based? How old are they? Male or female? Is their company a certain size? These questions will help you to narrow down your criteria so you can duplicate/replicate a successful customer relationship.

Once you have identified your target market, you can now base your marketing, sales, social media campaigns and networking around attracting these selected potentials.
