Networking Advice
What comes around, goes around. Does it conjure positive or negative thoughts? Did your Mum say, when annoyed at a perceived wrong – ‘What comes around goes around’ Like some karmic fortune teller of doom.
But what if we apply the same principal in a positive manner? Try applying this ethos when networking, both at actual events and through your social media. Act like everything you do will come back around to you:
Networking, How Can I Help You?If you connect people, you will get connected, if you give referrals, you in turn will be recommended, if you ‘share’ great content, yours will be promoted. If you ‘like’ a business page, yours will get attention.
I’m not suggesting you keep score. What I am suggesting is that you try networking with an attitude that says ‘What can I do to help you?’ You will be amazed with the results, as Misner says ‘Givers gain’. Try it and tell me how you get on.
