We are pleased to present a guest article from AmeriCommerce, a fascinating infographic about the history of web design…
The internet is 25 years old. I think most of us would agree that that’s quite young. But, the amount of earth-shattering changes (or shall we say improvements?) that have occurred in that time are phenomenal.
An infographic by AmeriCommerce titled ‘The History of Web Design’ documents the key events of 1990-2014, and there have been a lot of them! For example:
- Did you know that initially only 16 colours were supported by monitors, and now there are over 16 million?!
- Internet Explorer 1 was born on 1995, and the revolutionary (how would we live without it?!) Google came in 1998.
- 2004 brought splash pages and the biggest social network to date ‘TheFacebook’.
